Matt Wieters told the Baltimore Sun that he would be interested in a long-term extension with the Orioles. The Orioles have yet to engage in any extension talks with Wieters, but could look to buyout his arbitration years with a long-term deal. "I've always been interested [in staying]," Wieters said. "I'm a huge fan of what [Buck Showalter and Dan Duquette] have done. It's something to where it's a great baseball town, it's a fun place to play and it's a place where I enjoy playing." Wieters is arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter and under team control through 2015.
