Matt Wieters hit a three-run homer Saturday as the Orioles beat the Triple-A Norfolk affiliate 4-3 in a rain-shortened game Saturday. Wieters went without a homer in 32 official spring at-bats. Last year, he hit .378 with five homers in 45 at-bats in the spring, then followed that with his a disappointing campaign. We liked him a little better for this year before the Orioles signed Nelson Cruz. Prior to that, it appeared he'd hit fifth. Now he could hit seventh below two lesser OBP guys (Cruz and J.J. Hardy) most of the time.
