Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson (hand) swung a fungo bat for the first time on Tuesday. Next up for him will be to hold a bat and then to hit off a tee. Olson needed surgery for a fractured hamate bone in his hand and won't return until next month. The left-handed hitter has serious power, though, and is still just 25 years old.
