Mark Trumbo is hitting just .174 with three homers over his last 36 games.

He has an ugly 58/9 K/BB ratio and a .472 OPS during the same timespan. Angels manager Mike Scioscia is optimistic he'll be able to turn things around, but is open to giving playing time to others if his struggles continue. "When he finds it, he usually keeps it, and it can come quickly for him," said Scioscia. "We need him, and we'll definitely give him enough chances to get there with the option of spotting Vernon or some other guys to give us a little boost if he continues to struggle." Vernon Wells should benefit, but there could also be an opening for Peter Bourjos to finally get some playing time.
