Lucas Duda is expected to start at first base Friday against the Reds. When Mets manager Terry Collins said Thursday that he planned to pick a first baseman and stick with him for a while, most expected that Ike Davis would get the nod, but it will actually be Duda. The Mets want to see if he's able to hold down the job, so he figures to get several starts in a row at the very least.
