Scherzer is dealing with neck stiffness but is currently penciled in for Sunday's start against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A report earlier in the day suggested that Scherzer's first start of the second half would come Tuesday against the White Sox, but he looks like he'll still be able to pitch this weekend, barring the issue getting worse in the next day or two. General manager Billy Eppler said Scherzer picked up the neck injury due to sleeping the wrong way, and the issue isn't believed to be related to the spasms that affected him earlier this season.
