Kendrick is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The return of Trea Turner (wrist) from the 60-day disabled list Tuesday looks like it could force manager Dusty Baker into some tough lineup decisions over the remainder of the season, as Kendrick and his .343 batting average will hit the bench for the second time in three games. With Turner reclaiming his everyday role at shortstop, Wilmer Difo will vie with Kendrick, Adam Lind, Alejandro De Aza, Michael Taylor and Jayson Werth for starts in the outfield on a game-by-game basis, which could translate to fewer at-bats for everybody. The playing time picture will grow even murkier later in September, when Bryce Harper (knee) is expected to come off the 10-day DL.
