There was some hope that Kendrick would be able to play on the minor league side Thursday, but that seems unlikely with the 32-year-old still awaiting clearance to ramp up his activity. Opening Day is looking unlikely for Kendrick as well, though the team would be able to backdate a DL stint if necessary.
