Jered Weaver shut down the Rangers on Tuesday night, allowing just two runs on five hits over 6 1/3 innings en route to his league-leading 14th victory. Weaver struck out three and walked one in the game. He cruised through the first six innings unscathed, then allowed a two-run double to David Murphy before being removed in the seventh. At 14-1, Weaver is now tied with David Price and R.A. Dickey for the major meague lead with 14 victories. He'll take a 2.29 ERA and 92/27 K/BB ratio into his next start against the White Sox.
