Jason Hammel was hammered for eight earned runs in 4 1/3 innings Wednesday in a loss to the Astros. Hammel now has a 9.53 ERA and 2.12 WHIP in four starts with Oakland. The A's are known to be in the market for another starting pitcher with the July 31 trade deadline on the horizon, so the right-hander could soon be out of a rotation spot. If not, he'll get the Rays next.
