Jason Hammel spun a trio of shutout innings in his spring debut Saturday against the Reds. He surrendered two hits, three walks and struck out four. "To be honest, I was battling a little bit of butterflies," said Hammel. The right-hander signed a one-year, $6 million contract last month. He posted an ugly 4.97 ERA in 139 1/3 innings last season for the Orioles, but we think the 31-year-old is a good bounceback candidate.
