Jason Hammel gave up four runs (three earned) over 5 2/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Rangers. Hammel gave up seven hits and two walks while striking out three. He has lost each of his first three starts with the A's and owns a 7.10 ERA and 8/7 K/BB ratio over 12 2/3 innings. The returns haven't been good so far, but he'll attempt to turn things around next week against the Astros.
