Jason Hammel allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings in a loss to the Pirates on Sunday. Hammel still hasn't won a game since the calendar turned to June, but Sunday was by no fault of his own. The right-hander allowed a solo home run to Travis Snider and the Pirates manufactured another run in the third inning, but otherwise Hammel kept their offense in check. He walked one while striking out six in the loss. He owns a 6-5 record, 2.99 ERA and 1.02 WHIP and will take on the Nationals on Friday.
