James Loney, and not Duda, looks to be the starting first baseman for the Mets' Wild Card contest Wednesday against the Giants, Newsday reports.

Duda has struggled to regain his stroke at the plate after missing three months with his back injury. In addition, he has had some soreness in that area while also having some difficulties in the field. While neither Loney nor Duda have had much success against Madison Bumgarner, at least Loney has seen more action of late and could have some success against the tough southpaw.
