The veteran hurler began the year at extended spring training, but the Orioles liked what they saw enough to slot him into a crowded rotation for the Tides. If all goes well, the Orioles haven't ruled out using Jackson as a starter in the big leagues, but he'll need to show some improvement over the 5.89 ERA he held last season in major-league stints with the Padres and Marlins.
