Howie Kendrick went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in the Angels' 5-3 win over the Rangers on Saturday. Kendrick opened the season hitting seventh behind Raul Ibanez and David Freese, which hardly seemed right after his performance last year. Because of injuries, though, he's often hit first and fourth of late. Today was his seventh game in the cleanup spot, and he's homered twice and knocked in six runs in those games. He should be a nice mixed-league second baseman as long as he can avoid getting buried in the lineup again.
