Howie Kendrick homered twice and drove home four runs, leading the Angels to an 11-6 win over the Tigers on Friday. Serving as the team's DH and hitting in the cleanup spot seemed to come naturally to Kendrick. He tagged starter Drew Smyly with an opposite field two-run shot in the third inning, then blasted another off Luke Putkonen the following inning. He finished the night 3-for-5 and is now hitting .261/.320/.391 on the season.
