Homer Bailey was spectacular in Tuesday's NLDS loss to the Giants, allowing just one run on one hit and one walk while striking out 10 over seven innings.

Bailey certainly deserved better, as the Giants scored their lone tally against him in the third without the benefit of a hit. In fact, they didn't pick up their first hit against him until two outs in the sixth, and Bailey also struck out six batters in a row at one point. Potentially losing Johnny Cueto would obviously be a huge blow, but the Reds have to take comfort in the fact that Bailey has thrown the ball so well over the last five weeks.
