Hanrahan will undergo a second Tommy John surgery, and he has been released by the Tigers, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports. In camp as a non-roster invite on a minor league deal, the Tigers parted ways with Hanrahan as the injury may prove to be a career-ending one depending on how he progresses through his rehab. Most likely, it will take Hanrahan longer than the typical 12-month minimum to work his way back into game situations again.
