Hammel won Monday against the Mariners as he pitched eight innings and allowed one run, three hits and one walk to go along with five strikeouts. Hammel has had some struggles since being traded to Oakland, but he has allowed one run and pitched at least seven innings in both of his last two starts. He may be getting hot at the right time for the Athletics.
