Gonzalez (knee, ankle) will be available off the bench Tuesday and stands a "good chance" of returning to the lineup Wednesday, according to Nick Groke of the Denver Post. Evidently, the Rockies have ruled out a DL stint for Gonzalez, as he will be available as a pinch-hitter Tuesday. Gonzalez has been battling knee and ankle soreness for well over a week now, but he reported feeling better Tuesday and it sounds like he will supplant Brandon Barnes in right field Wednesday to take on Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta.
