Giolito (1-1) tossed seven scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Tigers, allowing three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito was oustanding in this one, throwing 69 percent of his pitches for strikes and allowing just three men past first base. He loaded the bases in the seventh inning but was able to battle through the jam to cap off a successful day. Giolito struggled with the long ball in his season debut Tuesday, but he was much more effective this time out as he delivered a quality start. He will look to build off of this excellent outing Saturday against the Rays.
