Wells pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old has been excellent since returning from right wrist tendinitis in mid-August, as he's posted a 7.1-inning scoreless streak while allowing just one hit and one walk. Wells finally got a chance to close out a game, and he did so by throwing 10 of his 12 pitches for strikes. He's added a hold, a blown save and a 2-1 record while posting a 3.35 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 62:10 K:BB across 51 innings this year. Expect the right-hander to see more high-leverage spots down the stretch.
