Duda, who is sitting out Monday's series opener against the Padres with a stiff right knee, expects to return to the lineup Tuesday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports. It seems the Mets are just exercising precaution after Duda was struck on the side of his right knee by a pitch Sunday against the Marlins. The injury wasn't serious enough to require X-rays, and Duda himself said he'd be available Monday for pinch-hitting duties if needed. Look for Duda, who had homered four times in his previous six games, to check back in at first base Tuesday.
