Duda went 1-for-3 with a three-run double and a walk in Monday's season opener against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
With the Mets already having rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh thanks to an unraveling of the Atlanta bullpen, Duda came up with the bases juiced and hit a fly ball to deep left-center off lefty Eric O'Flaherty to bring everyone home. It might have been caught under normal circumstances, but center fielder Ender Inciarte was playing shallow, so it went over his head. Nonetheless, it's great to see Duda not only in the lineup after he experienced some hamstring tightness last week, but also building his confidence with a huge Opening Day hit against a lefty; he batted only .133/.188/.267 off southpaws last season.
