Duda came off the bench and went 1-for-2 with a three-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Out of the lineup against lefty starter Mike Montgomery, Duda only came into the game because Neil Walker suffered a leg injury. The stars aligned for the Mets in one small way at least, as that put Duda in position to hit his eighth-inning bomb, which put the game out of reach. While maintaining a high batting average certainly isn't Duda's calling card, he draws walks and hits for power, which has resulted in him holding solid fantasy value when healthy. The fact that he doesn't start often against lefties hurts him, though.
