Derek Holland lasted just three innings Monday against the Athletics but escaped with a no-decision, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in the 5-4 win.

Holland was pulled after throwing 77 pitches, as he went to a three-ball count on eight of the 15 batters he faced. The left-hander had been pitching quite well, posting a 2.17 ERA over his previous four September starts. He'll try to bounce back this weekend against the Angels.
