Chen allowed two runs in five innings in his final start of the spring Thursday. Chen struck out four and had no walks while throwing 68 pitches. He may not be fully stretched out, so a pitch count could be in play during his first start of the season. Chen is slated to start April 7 against Tampa Bay.
