Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said he won't hesitate using Allen Craig (hamstring) in the outfield when he's activated from the disabled list Friday. Craig began the year on the DL while recovering from knee surgery and went back on it earlier this month when he tweaked his hammy while trying to chase down a flyball in the outfield. But, Matheny won't be gunshy about using the 27-year-old in the outfield even though he's more likely to be injured there. He'll also see plenty of time at first base but will not play any second base as previously speculated.
