Blue Jays acquired RHP Jeremy Jeffress from the Royals for future cash considerations. Jeffress was designated for assignment by the Royals last week after failing to make a good impression this summer at Triple-A Omaha. The hard-throwing 25-year-old has already been suspended twice for marijuana and could be banned from baseball if he gets caught again.
