Allen Craig (hamstring) is expected to be placed on the 15-day disabled list before Friday's game against the Dodgers. Craig had believed only yesterday that his hamstring injury would sideline him merely on a day-to-day basis. But after being examined by team orthopedic Dr. Lyndon Gross, the hot-hitting outfielder-first baseman was sent back to St. Louis, as the Cardinals appear ready to give Craig's hamstring a couple more weeks to heal.
