According to WEEI's Rob Bradfrod, the Red Sox are waiting to make a "definitive offer" to Stephen Drew. Drew is tied to draft pick compensation and has struggled to attract a healthy market this winter because of it, so the Red Sox will practice patience and hope to get the 30-year-old shortstop on a super team-friendly deal. Drew batted .253/.333/.443 with 13 home runs and 67 RBI in 124 games this past season for Boston.
