Kendrick (ribs) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Mets, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
In place of Kendrick, the Phillies will start Daniel Nava in left field. Kendrick hurt his ribs while making a diving catch Saturday, and appears to still be dealing with soreness as a result. There's yet to be word that his injury is serious enough to send him to the DL, so consider Kendrick day-to-day until further notice.

Kendrick is out of the lineup Sunday against the Nationals due to soreness, Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kendrick was originally penciled in for his regular role in left field, but was removed after reporting soreness that resulted from Saturday's diving catch. Brock Stassi will take over for the afternoon matchup.

Kendrick is out of the lineup Thursday against the Reds, MLB.com's Todd Zolecki reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kendrick has batted second in the order and started in left field in each of the first two games of the season, but he'll give way to Daniel Nava in that exact role Thursday afternoon.

Kendrick went 3-for-5 with a double and two singles in the team's Opening Day victory over the Reds on Monday. He also struck out once and was caught stealing.
EDGE Analysis
Kendrick, 33, has been a consistent contact guy for much of his career. His ability to hit for a high average is really the only thing he does remotely well for fantasy owners though, and his best days are likely behind him. There's no real appeal to owning him outside of NL-only formats.

Kendrick started at second base Tuesday, but manager Pete Mackanin affirmed after the game that he remains the team's primary left fielder, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mackanin said they want to give Kendrick some looks in the infield this spring in case a need arises during the regular season. The veteran will likely get a start at third base and possibly at first base before camp ends.

Kendrick is off to a slow start this spring with just one hit in 11 at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
Kendrick isn't fighting for a job, so his spring training stats are fairly meaningless. He will open the season as the Phillies starting left fielder and is likely to hit second most days behind Cesar Hernandez and in front of Odubel Herrera.

Kendrick is expected to be the Phillies' everyday left fielder in 2017, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is what the Phillies are saying now, but there's always a chance Kendrick could shift to second base if Cesar Hernandez is moved this offseason. Kendrick was acquired from Los Angeles on Friday in exchange for Darin Ruf and Darnell Sweeney after formally requesting a trade last week.

Kendrick was traded to the Phillies on Friday in exchange for Darnell Sweeney and Darin Ruf.
EDGE Analysis
Kendrick made it known that he was frustrated with his role within the Dodgers' organization and preferred a trade, and he got his wish. At the moment, there's some uncertainty as to where Kendrick will play with Philadelphia, but Cesar Hernandez has been a popular name in trade rumors, and Kendrick would presumably step in as the everyday second baseman if Hernandez is moved. Kendrick, now 33, hit .255/.326/.366 with eight homers and 10 steals in 146 games in 2016.
