Rodney (3-2) blew his fourth save of the season but was bailed out by his offense in the bottom of the ninth inning during Sunday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney had gone 19.1 innings without allowing an earned run before Sunday, so despite all his early-season struggles and track record of ninth-inning implosions, he's been rock-solid for the D-backs. His 4.45 ERA is still high, but with 21 saves, a 1.15 WHIP and 10.1 K/9, he's still one of more valuable fantasy closers, especially since his job is secure.

Rodney recorded the final two outs of Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rockies to notch his 21st save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has yet to allow an unearned run since late April and continues to take advantage of the Diamondbacks' winning ways, with his 21 saves ranking second in the National League. Rodney only needed eight pitches to retire the two batters Saturday, so he should be available out of the bullpen again in Sunday's series finale.

Rodney was credited with his second win of the season Tuesday during the Diamondbacks' 6-5 victory over the Cardinals in 10 innings. He retired the side in the top half of the inning and notched a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney hasn't seen a save situation come his way since June 18, but the win is a nice consolation for the fantasy owners that haven't gotten much production from the veteran reliever over the past week. The perfect frame also extended Rodney's streak of allowing no earned runs to 18.2 innings, which has extinguished any talk of him surrendering the closing gig.

Rodney struck out all three batters he faced in the 10th inning to earn his 20th save of the season during Sunday's win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran hasn't allowed an earned run through his past 16.2 innings over 17 appearances. Rodney has 14 saves and 18 strikeouts during that span, and he continues to tighten his hold on the closing job.

Rodney pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout to record his 19th save of the season during Friday's win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has now gone 15.2 innings through 16 appearances since allowing his last earned run, and he's converted 13 of 14 save opportunities during that span. Rodney's track record and 4.91 ERA highlight the likely instability of his current form, and it might only be a matter of time before the bottom falls out. Still, for the time being, Rodney is locked in and has a firm grasp on ninth-inning duties for the Diamondbacks.

Rodney notched his 18th save of the season in impressive fashion Wednesday, striking out the side in the ninth inning in a 2-1 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
He sat down Justin Upton, Nick Castellanos and Andrew Romine on 16 pitches, getting the first two looking. Rodney seems to have found his best stuff recently, putting up an 8:1 K:BB through his last five appearances (five innings) without allowing a hit, much less a run, but his 5.11 ERA on the season is a reminder that his April was just as awful as his June has been great so far.

Rodney struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 17th save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
He hasn't given up an earned run since the end of April, a stretch of 14 appearances during which Rodney has a 0.59 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB in 13.2 innings. There's no telling how long his current form will last and ninth innings will go back to being an adventure for the D-backs, but the 40-year-old is getting the job done at the moment.

Rodney worked around a walk to turn in a scoreless ninth and collect his 16th save of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
With another clean frame Saturday, Rodney has now tossed 12.2 consecutive scoreless innings, though he did blow one of his 11 save chances during that span. Rodney's 5.56 ERA and 1.3 7 WHIP are still unsightly, but with most of the damage to those two categories coming in April, the 40-year-old looks to be fairly stable in his role as the team's closer.

Rodney didn't allow a baserunner and struck out a batter to record his 15th save of the season during Wednesday's win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Rodney has now gone 12 appearances and 11.2 innings without allowing an earned run and has converted nine of 10 opportunities with a 0.60 WHIP during that stretch. The veteran clearly has a firm grasp on the closer role for the time being, but with a 4.33 ERA dating back to the 2015 campaign, it's probably only a matter of time before Rodney has another ninth-inning implosion.

Rodney recorded his 14th save of the season in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Marlins, tossing a perfect ninth inning and notching two strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
One day after Rodney blew his third save of the season in a 14-inning win over the Pirates, manager Torey Lovullo didn't hesitate to go back to the 40-year-old to close out the contest. Rodney showed he was up to the task, finding the strike zone in nine of his 14 pitches to ensure there wouldn't be extra innings in the series opener. While Rodney maintains an ugly 6.10 ERA and 1.45 WHIP for the season, he's been much better since the beginning of May, yielding no earned runs and converting 8-of-9 save chances in 11 appearances. He looks to have some decent job security at the back end of the Arizona bullpen.
