LeMahieu accumulated a pair of hits and scored a run in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers.

EDGE Analysis

After a dreadful start to the season, the 2016 batting champion is beginning to find his stroke at the plate. Over the past six games, LeMahieu cracked 10 hits to raise his batting average from .171 all the way up to .281. It's unrealistic to expect this kind of torrid production from him all season, but fantasy owners can likely rest assured that the player they paid for is back to his old self, getting on base atop a stacked Colorado batting order.

LeMahieu is back in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

LeMahieu received a rest day for Sunday's outing, so it comes as no surprise to see him back in action Monday. He'll hit second and get the nod to start at second base as he looks to elevate his .160 batting average.

LeMahieu is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

EDGE Analysis

The reigning batting champion is off to an ice cold start to begin the 2017 season (2-for-23) and will receive the day off Sunday. He will be replaced by Alexi Amarista.

LeMahieu is 18-for-57 (.316) with eight RBI and a stolen base in 18 Cactus League games.

EDGE Analysis

The reigning batting champion continued his high-average ways this spring, and he even managed to crack one ball out of the park to produce a .491 slugging percentage. The only aspect of DJ Le's game that was absent from his spring performance was his propensity to draw walks, as he only collected three free passes during his time in Arizona. That isn't too concerning as it's most likely an attempt to focus on getting his swing back to last season's form from the get-go. LeMahieu is expected to slot into the Rockies lineup in the two-hole, which could help him top the 100-run plateau for the second season in a row.

Rockies manager Bud Black said he'll likely keep LeMahieu near the top of the lineup, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

In this case, the 2016 NL batting champion again will occupy the two-hole most often behind Charlie Blackmon. LeMahieu crossed the plate 104 times last year, which fueled his fantasy value just as much as the .348 batting average, and keeping a spot near the top increases the odds he'll come close to scoring that much again in this lethal lineup. This news doesn't make Trevor Story owners happy. He'd likely bat seventh with LeMahieu at No. 2.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup Sunday against the Brewers.

EDGE Analysis

The Rockies will hold LeMahieu out during the season finale in order to protect his .348 average on the season, which will allow him to claim the NL batting title by a narrow margin over the Nationals' Daniel Murphy. Pat Valaika will man second base with LeMahieu sitting out.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup Saturday against the Brewers, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.

EDGE Analysis

He has just two at-bats in the last three games, as the Rockies are intent on getting LeMahieu the NL batting title. His batting average sits at .348 while Daniel Murphy's is at .347, and considering Murphy won't return until the postseason, it's plausible that LeMahieu won't receive another plate appearance this year in order to make sure he gets the batting crown. Daniel Descalso will start at the keystone and hit second.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup for the second straight night Thursday against the Giants, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

This looks like a continued effort from manager Walt Weiss to help LeMahieu in his chase for the National League batting title. Sitting the keystoner, who's hitting .349 along with 11 homers, 103 runs scored and 11 stolen bases, against a tough arm like Cueto seems to fit that plan. At least an NL batting title gives Colorado something to play -- or in this case, not play -- for. The Rockies deployed a similar plan for Justin Morneau down the stretch when he won the honor in 2014. He'll probably suit up at least once more before the end of the year, but his owners will have to check his daily status. On Thursday, Daniel Descalso will slide over to second and occupy the two hole.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

The Rockies are going with a decidedly left-handed lineup against San Francisco's Jeff Samardzija on Wednesday, plugging Daniel Descalso in at second base in place of LeMahieu. Samardzija has given up 41 XBH to left-handed batters this season, including 12 home runs. LeMahieiu figures to draw back in Thursday against Johnny Cueto.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

EDGE Analysis

It's not often one sees a healthy .349 hitter sit when they would have the platoon advantage, but LeMahieu hasn't had a day off in more than a month. Further, his 13-game hitting streak ended Friday and he's just 9-for-37 against Saturday's starter Clayton Kershaw. Patrick Valaika will get the nod at second base in LeMahieu's absence.
