Holland allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits over 5.2 innings in Sunday's no-decision against the Mariners. He walked one and struck out three.

EDGE Analysis

Holland was spotted a 5-0 lead through three innings, but promptly gave it all back by the end of the fifth. A fifth-inning error by shortstop Tim Anderson allowed Seattle to load the bases with nobody out, and Danny Valencia launched a three-run homer two batters later. The former Rangers starter owns a 4.90 ERA after finishing the past two seasons at 4.91 and 4.95. His next appearance is scheduled for next Sunday in Kansas City.

Holland (5-9) allowed seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out just two batters through four innings during Friday's loss to Colorado.

EDGE Analysis

Holland entered with a 9.33 ERA through his previous six starts, and the stretch included four starts with at least five runs allowed. The Rockies ate him up at Coors Field, and his ERA and WHIP have skyrocketed to 5.01 and 1.52, respectively. After a strong start to the campaign, the southpaw is hardly a trustworthy option in most settings at this stage of the game.

Holland (5-8) allowed five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Rangers.

EDGE Analysis

Holland entered the fifth inning with a 2-1 lead before getting shelled for four runs in the frame, leading to his eighth loss of the year. He's allowed at least five runs in four of his last six starts to raise his ERA over a full run during that time, and based on he's become a very risky lineup option. He'll make his next start Friday against the Rockies.

Holland allowed one run on four hits over six innings Sunday against the A's. He struck out six and walked two.

EDGE Analysis

Holland kept Oakland off the board for six-plus innings before allowing them to break through in the seventh, and the A's went on to win the game. He did not allow a home run, which was a good sign considering he gave up eight over his previous 15.2 innings (four starts). Additionally, in that span, he was 1-3 with 22 earned runs.

Holland (5-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins, allowing seven earned runs on nine hits in just 2.2 innings pitched. He also walked one and struck out three in that time.

EDGE Analysis

The southpaw simply wasn't on his game Tuesday evening. He got off on the wrong foot by serving up a two-run homer to Miguel Sano in the first, and then proceeded to cough up the lead the offense staked him in the third. Holland managed to work in and out of trouble in his previous start, but his luck appeared to have run out Tuesday, as his ERA now sits at 4.48, a mark more representative of his effectiveness this season. He'll look to turn things around during his next start Sunday when the White Sox play host to the Athletics.

Holland (5-6) worked around eight hits and two walks Tuesday, allowing just a single run over six innings in a win against the Orioles. He struck out five.

EDGE Analysis

Holland was battling throughout, as he allowed double-digit baserunners for the fourth consecutive start, but he was able to strand most of them this time around. One of the funniest characters in the game, the veteran lefty's stats don't match up to his personal appeal. His 1.45 WHIP puts the lie to that 3.79 ERA, and Holland's 5.35 FIP gives fantasy owners a better idea of what to expect down the line. He's lined up to make his second start of the week at Toronto on Sunday.

Holland (4-6) allowed six runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out two over 4.2 innings in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Rays.

EDGE Analysis

Holland was looking for a bounce back performance following his worst outing of the season six days ago in a loss to the Tigers but the Rays weren't playing along. They knocked Holland around for three home runs. The left-hander has allowed 14 earned runs in his last two starts, inflating his ERA from 2.37 to 3.99 as he enters his next start Tuesday at home against Baltimore.

Holland allowed a season-high eight runs on eight hits, including three home runs, over 2.1 innings in Friday's 15-5 loss to the Tigers.

EDGE Analysis

Prior to Friday's start, Holland had not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his outings and led the White Sox with a 2.37 ERA. We'll chalk this one up to a bad night in Detroit, a team he had held to one run over six innings just six days ago. The left-hander told Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune that he battled his mechanics all night. He's next scheduled to pitch Wednesday against Tampa Bay.

Holland (4-4) allowed a single run on seven hits and four walks while striking out eight batters over six innings during Saturday's loss to Detroit in the second game of their doubleheader.

EDGE Analysis

The 30-year-old southpaw has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his 10 starts and sports a 2.37 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 7.7 K/9. Holland was likely a little lucky to escape with just the single run against after allowing 11 baserunners Saturday, and his 4.35 FIP suggests he's likely pitching above his weight class right now. Still, while there could be rougher times ahead, Holland was a trustworthy fantasy asset before injuries held him to just 35 starts over the past three seasons, and this has been a throwback stretch. He projects to face the Tigers again in his next start.

Holland will start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Detroit, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.

EDGE Analysis

Both the Tigers and White Sox reorganized their starters Saturday. Holland will match up against Detroit's Buck Farmer, who will be making his 2017 debut.
