Holland (3-1) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.1 innings, but received no decision Saturday against the Tigers.

EDGE Analysis

Holland allowed single runs in the first and sixth innings before leaving the contest with a 3-2 lead after throwing 96 pitches. He's yet to allow more than two earned runs in any of his five starts, and he boasts a 2.17 ERA, making him one of the biggest fantasy surprises this April. He should remain in fantasy lineups until he goes into a prolonged slump, but there's no guarantee that happens, as he was a solid pitcher before dealing with injuries over the past few seasons. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Royals.

Holland (2-2) allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Indians.

EDGE Analysis

Holland improved to 7-1 lifetime against the Indians, using the rare gift of first-inning runs from the league's worst offense to keep Cleveland at bay. The left-hander rebounded from a beating he took in New York last week to post his third quality start in four outings.

Holland (1-2) allowed seven runs -- six earned -- on 10 hits and a walk while striking out four batters over 4.2 innings during Monday's loss to New York.

EDGE Analysis

After spinning a one-hit outing over six innings against the Indians on Wednesday, this was a poor followup, as Holland served up three doubles and two home runs to the Yankees. The 30-year-old southpaw posted a 4.93 ERA (4.94 FIP) through 166 innings over the previous two seasons, though, so it shouldn't be surprising to see him struggle. Holland will look for a bounce-back outing Sunday against the Indians, but with a second look at Holland in less than two weeks, Cleveland's potent lineup sets up as a daunting matchup.

Holland (1-1) held the Indians to a single hit over six scoreless innings in Wednesday's win, although he walked four batters to go with four strikeouts.

EDGE Analysis

Those walks certainly take some of the shine off this outing, but there's no avoiding the fact that Holland has turned in a pair of quality starts to open the year. A top prospect and then a promising (but oft-injured) starter for the Rangers, the lefty is now 30 years old and starting over in Chicago. It's too soon to declare that he's back to the glory days, but these first two outings should certainly have fantasy owners paying attention to Holland's next start, Monday at Yankee Stadium.

Holland allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out five over six-plus innings in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Twins.

EDGE Analysis

There was a lot of good in Holland's performance Friday. The left-hander held Minnesota to 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position and kept the White Sox in the game. The not-so-good was a hit-batsman and an error on an attempted pick-off that led to a run. Overall, it was an encouraging outing for Holland, who had missed significant time over the past three seasons in Texas.

Holland struck out four batters over two innings in Saturday's exhibition against the Brewers.

EDGE Analysis

Holland was making a final tuneup appearance before he takes the ball as the White Sox's third starter next Thursday, April 6, against the Tigers.

Holland allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out one over six innings in Monday's game against the Dodgers.

EDGE Analysis

This was easily his best outing of four spring starts, but his overall spring numbers don't shout "bounce back candidate." He had a 5.74 ERA and allowed 24 baserunners (14 hits, 10 walks) in 15.2 innings. He'll start the season in the rotation but as soon as one of those young prospects pitching for Triple-A Charlotte is ready, Holland might be the first veteran dropped from the rotation. James Shields and Miguel Gonzalez are the others who shouldn't be making long-term plans in Chicago.

Holland allowed six runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two in Friday's start against the Cubs, Paul Skrbian of the Chicago Tribune reports.

EDGE Analysis

Holland shook off the rough outing, emphasizing that spring training is when a pitcher works on stuff and said he was pleased with his offspeed pitches. Still, watching the left-hander surrender two walks and a homer to lefty hitters in the third inning was not a good sign. Holland now sports a 7.45 ERA after three spring starts.

Holland allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings in Sunday's start against the Dodgers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

The four strikeouts are nice and were indicative of the quality of Holland's changeup, but he gave up some hard contact and elevated several pitches. This was Holland's second spring start after he fired two scoreless frames earlier this month. He was signed to a one-year, $6 million deal in the offseason and is presumed to be part of the White Sox's rotation to start the season, but with a bevy of young arms at Triple-A, Holland is unlikely to finish the season in the rotation.

Holland threw two scoreless innings, walking two and allowing two hits in Thursday's game against San Francisco.

EDGE Analysis

Holland had to wriggle out of a couple of jams, including a bases-loaded situation in the second inning. Despite allowing four baserunners in two innings, the left-hander felt his command was good and that he needs to stop rushing. Holland is expected to grab one of the spots in the White Sox's rotation.
