Humber signed with the Kia Tigers in the Korean Baseball Organization, Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News reports. Humber spent all of 2014 with Triple-A Sacramento in the Athletics' system, posting a 3.65 ERA and 1.348 WHIP. He wasn't able to work his way back to the majors, and has struggled to find success in the big leagues since his perfect game in 2012, so he'll play overseas rather than try to continue his career in the minors.

Phil Humber was knocked around in his inning of work against the Rangers on Saturday, surrendering three runs on three hits. Humber also walked a pair while striking out two. He now sports a 16.20 ERA on the spring, and is looking like a longshot to break camp in the Athletics bullpen.

Phil Humber was hit around on Tuesday against the Athletics, surrendering four runs while recording only one out. Humber allowed a walk, hit a batter, and allowed two hits including a three-run home run. The right-hander is hoping to make the team as a swing arm but hasn't had a great start to the Cactus League, hurting his chances to make the 25-man roster.

Athletics manager Bob Melvin indicated Saturday that Phil Humber could be utilized in a swing role during the 2014 season. The 30-year-old has been a disaster the past few seasons, but has the ability to start and relieve, and could make the team out of spring training as a potential long man in the bullpen. If not, he'll likely head to Triple-A where he'll represent additional rotation depth.

Athletics signed RHP Phil Humber to a minor league contract. The 30-year-old right-hander spent the 2013 season with the Astros, compiling a horrendous 0-8 record, 7.90 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 36/20 K/BB ratio over 54 2/3 innings. He's just two seasons removed from a very effective season in the White Sox rotation, so perhaps the A's feel like they can resurrect his career. He'll likely begin the 2014 season at Triple-A Sacramento.

Astros purchased the contract of RHP Philip Humber from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Humber has done a nice job in relief over the past few weeks at the Triple-A level and will try to add some stability to the Houston bullpen. Wesley Wright was traded through waivers to the Rays on Monday afternoon.

Astros sent RHP Philip Humber outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Humber cleared waivers after being designated for assignment over the weekend. It's not known whether he'll join Triple-A Oklahoma City or declare free agency.

Astros designated RHP Philip Humber for assignment. Humber was a disaster in the rotation for the 'Stros, and his fate was sealed after he gave up five runs over 2/3 of an inning in relief on Saturday. Overall, he posted a 9.59 ERA and 2.02 WHIP with Houston. Despite the struggles, he'll have no trouble catching on somewhere else. It will just probably be on a minor league deal.

Philip Humber has been demoted to the bullpen. Humber had a horrific 8.82 ERA and 1.93 WHIP through seven starts. He will presumably serve as a long reliever. Dallas Keuchel is taking the vacant rotation spot.

Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said he and manager Bo Porter have discussed the possibility of removing Philip Humber from the rotation. Humber has taken a loss in all seven starts this season and sports an 8.82 ERA and 1.93 WHIP. "That's really a decision Bo needs to make, and I'm sure he'll make it at the appropriate time," Luhnow said. "We believe Humber is a Major League pitcher and can add value to our team. For now, no decision has been made about any different roles on the pitching side at this point."
