Adames was reassigned to minor-league camp Tuesday, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old went 7-for-22 at the plate across 10 games for the Giants in 2019 and was not expected make the Opening Day roster heading into camp. Adames was productive at the plate for Triple-A Sacramento last season, hitting .283/.364/.517 with 25 RBI and 23 runs scored in 165 plate appearances. The second baseman is likely only an injury away from returning to the majors.

Adames was called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being released by the Cubs in July, Adames joined the Giants on a minor-league deal and went on to hit .283/.364/.517 in 43 regular-season games with Sacramento. He also helped secure the team's first Pacific Coast League title in 11 years. The 28-year-old will provide middle-infield depth over the final couple weeks.

Adames was released by the Cubs on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Adames spent most of the season on the shelf with an undisclosed injury but posted a solid .256/.375/.462 line in 12 games for Triple-A Iowa when active. The 27-year-old owns a poor .206/.283/.278 slash line in 166 career major-league games and is unlikely to generate much interest as a free agent.

Adames was reassigned to minor-league camp Saturday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Adames was in contention for an Opening Day roster spot with Daniel Descalso battling a shoulder injury, but will instead make his way to minor-league camp. The 27-year-old joined the Cubs on a minor-league deal in February after slashing .269/.324/.370 at Triple-A in 2018.

Adames was mentioned by manager Joe Maddon as a possible candidate for the Opening Day roster should Daniel Descalso (shoulder) start the season on the injured list, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Adames spent the entirety of last season in the minors and owns an ugly .206/.283/.278 line in 343 career big-league plate appearances. He's swung a hot bad this spring, though, hitting .438 with three homers in 15 games.

Adames signed a minor-league contract with the Cubs on Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Adames spent all of 2018 at the Triple-A level in the Marlins' organization. He hit .269 and made contact a whopping 85.1 percent of the time with New Orleans, but he displayed little power or speed. There doesn't seem to be a spot on the major-league roster for Adames even with his ability to play each infield position, so he seems destined for another year at Triple-A as an organizational depth piece.

Adames agreed to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training with the Marlins on Thursday, Antonio Puesan of Magnus Media reports.
EDGE Analysis
Adames spent a majority of this past season at the Triple-A level, but did wind up appearing in 12 games for the Rockies following 121 games with the team in 2016. He went hitless in 13 at-bats during his brief time with the club, but slashed .263/.317/.461 with 11 home runs and 52 RBI for Triple-A Albuquerque. The 26-year-old sports a career average of .206 with a .561 OPS, and should serve as organizational infield depth for the Marlins this season.

Adames was designated for assignment Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
With Ian Desmond returning from injury to make his Rockies debut Sunday, Adames was the unfortunate party who was designated for assignment to open up a roster spot. The 25-year-old went hitless in 14 plate appearances during April, but is still a definite candidate to be claimed by another team.
