Perez (suspension) was signed by the Orioles on Thursday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. Perez, who opted out of a minor league deal with Milwaukee earlier this season, was suspended 50 games last month after testing positive for a "drug of abuse." He must serve the suspension before appearing in a game for the Orioles organization. Once the suspension is served, Perez will likely be assigned to Triple-A or another minor league affiliate.

Perez has been suspended 50 games after testing positive for "a drug of abuse," Chris Iott of MLive.com reports. This is actually Perez's second drug related offense in his career. A minor league free agent, he opted out of his minor league contract with the Brewers in late April. It remains to be seen whether a team will take a flier on the 29-year-old reliever once his suspension ends.

Perez opted out of his minor league contract with the Brewers on Monday. Perez had the option as a veteran to either stay with the club or opt out before a certain date, and it appears he's elected to go with the latter as he attempts to find work in the majors elsewhere. He spent most of 2014 with the Dodgers, but finished with an underwhelming 4.27 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 1.56 K/BB rate. It's highly unlikely he'll return to a closer role he had with the Indians, leaving his value minimal in most leagues even if he does crack a big league roster.

Perez re-signed with the Brewers on a minor league contract Tuesday. Perez had just been granted his unconditional release from the club Sunday after failing to crack the team's Opening Day roster, but ultimately decided to stay within the organization. The 29-year-old veteran will serve as a bullpen option like at Triple-A Colorado Springs, and could be in line for a promotion if the big league club finds themselves in need of more relief arms.

Perez was granted his unconditional release Sunday. Having failed to make the Brewers' Opening Day roster, Perez will likely look to join an organization that gives him a better shot to eventually reach the majors. He'll probably have to settle for a minor league contract, after posting a 4.27 ERA and 39:25 K:BB over 46.1 innings for the Dodgers last year.

Perez signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers on Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training, Andrew Gruman of FOX Sports Wisconsin reports. Perez tossed 46.1 innings for the Dodgers in 2014, posting a 4.27 ERA and 7.58 K/9 ratio. The 29-year-old righty will provide Milwaukee with veteran bullpen depth, and given the current state of their relief pitching, may have a chance to compete for a higher-leverage role.

Perez (ankle) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Monday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. Perez remained on his rehab assignment at High-A Rancho Cucamonga probably longer than was necessary, but in waiting until Sept. 1 to bring him back, the Dodgers didn't have to make a corresponding move. He's been mostly abysmal this season with a 5.03 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and just 30 strikeouts in 39.1 innings, putting him at risk of being left off the team's postseason roster.

Perez (ankle) likely won't be activated until rosters expand, Eric Stephen of True Blue L.A. reports. Perez hasn't pitched since Aug. 3 after hitting the DL with bone spurs in his right ankle. Prior to landing on the disabled list, the 29-year-old reliever owned a shaky 5.03 ERA and 1.45 WHIP on the year. The team simply feels comfortable enough to extend his rehab work, and call him up to provide bullpen depth in September.

Perez (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment at High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Monday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. Perez will throw one inning with Rancho Cucamonga, and that may end up being the extent of his rehab assignment. He's eligible to return from the DL on Tuesday, though the Dodgers could choose to wait an extra day to afford him some additional recovery time following Monday's outing.
