Biggio's contract was selected by the Blue Jays as expected Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Biggio will be looking to carry the momentum from his hot start at Triple-A Buffalo (.307/.445/.504) into his major-league debut. He can play a variety of positions around the diamond but is expected to debut at second base.

Biggio will start at second base in his major-league debut Friday against the Padres, Jim Bowden of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Biggio is being called up from Triple-A Buffalo after posting a .307/.445/.504 slash line through 42 games in his first season at Triple-A. The 24-year-old has seen action everywhere in the field besides catcher and center field over the last two seasons, but his first taste of the big leagues will come at the keystone.

Biggio will be called up for his major-league debut Friday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
The son of Craig Biggio is set to be the second son of a Hall of Famer (following Vladimir Guerrero Jr.) to debut in Toronto within a month. He's gotten off to an excellent start for Triple-A Buffalo this year, posting a .306/.440/.507 line in 41 games with more walks (32) than strikeouts (28). Biggio has played everywhere except center field and catcher in the last two seasons, so the Blue Jays will have plenty of places to fit him into the lineup.

Biggio went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI for Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The performance was a pretty typical one for the 24-year-old given his .320/.447/.533 slash line on the year, but more important for his chances of a promotion was the fact that Biggio got the start in left field Friday after spending the prior two games patrolling right field. He's now played five different positions this season for Buffalo, highlighting his future as a likely super-utility player in the majors, but his quickest path to a job in Toronto this season lies in the outfield.

Biggio went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base for Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It's his first multi-hit effort since April 24. While Biggio's .341/.478/.591 slash line on the year is still eye-popping -- he leads the International League in OBP -- the Jays' No. 5 fantasy prospect is only hitting .233 (7-for-30) over his last 10 games, albeit with three homers, two steals and 10 walks. Even though he's not on the 40-man roster yet, a 2019 big-league debut is still on the table if the 24-year-old continues to dominate the top level of the minors.

Biggio went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Triple-A Buffalo's home opener Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old put together a 20-20 campaign for Double-A New Hampshire last season, and he wasted no time flashing his power and speed upside to begin 2019. Biggio isn't yet on the 40-man roster, which complicates his chances of making his big-league debut any time soon, but if he puts up big numbers in Buffalo he could factor heavily into the Jays' plans for 2020.

Biggio was sent to minor-league camp Monday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Biggio hit .252/.388/.499 for Double-A New Hampshire last season, adding 26 homers and 20 steals. He's expected to start the year with Triple-A Buffalo, though given the Blue Jays' hesitance to promote top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr., it could be tough for Biggio to debut this season even with strong numbers.

Biggio went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Getting the start at first base before shifting to the keystone, Biggio hit his first homer of the spring off bona fide major leaguer Vince Velasquez. The 23-year-old can get lost in the shuffle among the Jays' other, more highly touted second-generation prospects, but Biggio still posted an .887 OPS with 26 home runs in 132 games for Double-A New Hampshire last season, and his blend of power and patience should get him to the Show within a year or two, even if it's only as a utility player.

The Blue Jays announced Saturday that Biggio will be one of their 15 non-roster invitees to big-league spring training, John Lott of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Biggio noticed a major boost up in prospect lists in 2018 after a huge season at Double-A New Hampshire. He mashed 55 extra-base hits, stole 20 bases and walking in an astounding 18.2 percent of his plate appearances, with his 100 free passes pacing the Eastern League. The 23-year-old will presumably open the upcoming campaign at Triple-A Buffalo, where he'll look to continue his offensive excellence and showcase some defensive versatility. According to Ben Nicholson-Smith, Biggio has been taking reps in the outfield with the hope of accelerating his arrival to the big leagues. A natural second baseman, Biggio also drew 34 starts at third base and 22 at first base at Double-A last season.

Biggio went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBI for Double-A New Hampshire in its 14-3 victory Wednesday over Richmond.
EDGE Analysis
It's the first multi-homer game as a professional for Biggio, whose 23 long balls tie Akron's Bradley Bradley for tops in the Eastern League. Biggio is also pacing the circuit with a .397 on-base percentage following the graduation of teammate Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to Triple-A Syracuse, with a whopping 19.3 percent walk rate buoying the second baseman in that category. It likely won't be long until Biggio joins Guerrero at Syracuse in search of a stiffer challenge.
