Carlos Carrasco surrendered three runs on six hits and four walks over just 4 2/3 frames in Sunday's loss to the Twins.
The Twins KO'd Carrasco in the fifth with a pair of two-out RBI singles from Oswaldo Arcia and Trevor Plouffe. The right-hander was terrific against the Royals last week, but he's been pretty terrible in his other three starts this season. If he gets another turn, it will come on Friday in Chicago against the White Sox.

Back from his seven-game suspension, Carlos Carrasco lasted 7 1/3 innings and allowed just one run Monday against the Royals.
Sure, it was against Kansas City, but it's still a nice step forward for a guy who had a 15.26 ERA in two major league starts this year. It remains to be seen how much longer he'll be a part of the Cleveland rotation, so it's probably not worth picking him up in AL-only leagues at the moment.

Carlos Carrasco has dropped the appeal of his suspension.
The suspension was reduced from eight to seven games. With an off day on Thursday, the Indians will be able to use a four-man rotation until Carrasco's suspension is up. The right-hander has been terrific at Triple-A this season but holds a 15.26 ERA and 2.87 WHIP in two starts for the Tribe.

Carlos Carrasco was hammered for six earned runs over four innings Saturday in a loss to the Tigers.
Carrasco has been excellent this year at the Triple-A level but looked shaky all afternoon on Saturday in Detroit, yielding 10 hits and three walks over his four frames. The 26-year-old right-hander might get one more turn in the Cleveland starting rotation but should not be trusted in any sort of fantasy league.

Indians recalled RHP Carlos Carrasco from Triple-A Columbus.
Carrasco will start Saturday against the Tigers while appealing his eight-game suspension. With an off-day Thursday, he can then drop the appeal and miss eight games without upsetting the Indians' rotation. Carrasco is not expected to keep a roster spot once Zack McAllister returns from the disabled list.

The Indians are contemplating when to promote Carlos Carrasco.
Carrasco deserves another shot in the rotation, having posted a 1.36 ERA while striking out 41 over 39 2/3 Triple-A innings. The problem is that he has to serve a suspension, which will last eight games unless it's reduced following his appeal. "Once we have a sense of what the final suspension will be, maybe it's eight games, maybe it's less, we'll have an idea how to work around it," said general manager Chris Antonetti. It would be easiest to work around the suspension at the All-Star break, but it's possible the Tribe will call Carrasco up before then.

Carlos Carrasco has been diagnosed with a "deep contusion" on his right elbow/forearm and is considered day-to-day.
Carrasco left Thursday's start for Triple-A Columbus after being hit with a line drive, but it sounds like he'll be fine. He should get another chance with the big club later this summer.
