The Nationals will start Trea Turner in center field and give Revere the night off after starting five of their last six games. Revere has struggled at the plate in that time, as he's gone just 3-for-20.

Revere is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Padres, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Revere will get the day off after posting the RBI double that proved to be the difference-maker Saturday. Furthermore, with lefty Christian Friedrich on the mound for the opposing Padres, manager Dusty Baker will rest Revere and his left-handed bat in favor of right-hander Michael Taylor in center field.

Revere went 1-for-3 with an RBI double, walk and run scored in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy leadoff man plated Danny Espinosa with a fifth-inning double, only his second two-bagger of July. Revere does have the three triples during the month however, but has only slashed .207/.220/.379 over 58 at-bats. He's also relatively struggled on the basepaths, notching only 10 steals in 14 attempts.

Revere is out of the lineup Thursday against the Dodgers, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Revere has started four straight games in center field, including the last time the Nationals faced a lefty, but he'll take a seat Thursday afternoon with southpaw Julio Urias on the hill for the opposing Dodgers. Trea Turner, who will get the start at second base, will take Revere's place atop the batting order.

Revere's lone hit in four at-bats Wednesday against the Dodgers was a solo homer, his second of the season.
EDGE Analysis
He and Jayson Werth went back-to-back against LA starter Bud Norris in the fifth inning. Revere's numbers are still suffering, as he's still having trouble getting on base despite making contact about as well as he ever has. A .288 career hitter, he's been hovering around .220 this year for a while now, and he hasn't stolen a base since June 27. All in all, it's been a lost season, but it's still not too late for Revere to heat up and salvage it.

Revere is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy center fielder will be replaced in the order by Michael Taylor with the Nationals going against southpaw Francisco Liriano. Revere has actually fared reasonably well against lefties this season with a .265 average and a .728 OPS, but manager Dusty Baker wanted to get Taylor's right-handed bat into the lineup Friday.

Revere went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
It's his third multi-hit performance in his last seven starts, and Revere is now hitting .344 (11-for-32) over that stretch. He's had a miserable first three months for the Nats, but he's at least building up some momentum at the plate heading into the All-Star break.

Revere went 3-for-7 with a game-winning RBI double and run in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning victory over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The speedster plated Danny Espinosa with a two-bagger to deep right center in the 14th inning to seal the victory for the Nationals. Although he's struggled for the majority of the season, Revere has a pair of multi-hit outings over the last four games, and is 8-for-19 over that span.
