Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo's two-run homer in the fourth inning came on Johnny Cueto's first offering of the at-bat. Rizzo's team-leading 25th and 26th RBI doubled the Cubs' advantage, providing more than enough insurance for starter Jon Lester. Rizzo's production has been down in May, but he is now seven for his last 24 (.292) with three home runs over his last seven games. Look for his bat to continue to heat up as the temperature does.

Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 13-6 rout of the Brewers.

EDGE Analysis

The home run was his eighth of the year and the RBI were his 23rd and 24th of 2017. The power hasn't been in question, but his slow start may have his owners a tad worried. However, The 27-year-old slugger is sporting an unusually low BABIP (.224), so one should expect much better days ahead, especially with Chicago's lineup as a whole starting to heat up recently.

Rizzo went 2-for-4 with his seventh home run of the season in Tuesday's win over the Reds.

EDGE Analysis

Even after the good showing Tuesday, Rizzo is still slashing just .221/.358/.407. Last season, that line was .292/.385/.544. His BABIP is down nearly 100 points (.219 this season, .312 in 2016), but his strikeout and walk rates remain pretty similar. That suggests Rizzo has been getting a bit unlucky, so expect his numbers to climb as his BABIP normalizes a bit.

Rizzo is not in the Cubs' lineup Wednesday against the Rockies.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo played both games in Tuesday's doubleheader and is still recovering from a sore wrist, so it appears to be a routine day of rest for the slugger. Rookie Jeimer Candelario will man first base in Wednesday's series finale.

Rizzo (wrist) is playing first base and batting third Monday against the Rockies.

EDGE Analysis

It appears Rizzo isn't feeling any ill-effects after getting plunked on the wrist by Aroldis Chapman during Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He wasn't forced to leave the game and X-rays afterwards came back negative, so it isn't too surprising to see him back out there. The 26-year-old is slashing .224/.353/.416 with six homers through 12 at-bats this season.

X-rays on Rizzo's left wrist revealed no fracture after he was hit by an Aroldis Chapman fastball during Sunday's 18-inning loss to the Yankees, Patrick Mooney of CSN Chicago reports.

EDGE Analysis

While Rizzo was able to finish the marathon game after taking a Tylenol, he was seen tending to his wrist multiple times after getting plunked. "Luckily, there's nothing significant," Rizzo said. "I thank my parents I drank my milk when I was a kid and have some decent bones." The 27-year-old is set to be re-evaluated before Monday's game and although he expects to play, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Cubs hold him back as precaution after playing 18 innings Sunday.

Rizzo went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run during Saturday's win over Boston.

EDGE Analysis

The blast was Rizzo's fifth in eight games, and it also pulled the Cubs within a run of the Red Sox in top of the fourth inning. The first baseman is up to 16 runs, six home runs, 17 RBI, four stolen bases and a .269/.382/.516 slash line. While that's a juicy five-category return, any contribution in the stolen bases column should probably be viewed as a bonus going forward.

Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Pirates.

EDGE Analysis

His two-run shot off Daniel Hudson in the eighth inning brought the Cubs to within one, but they weren't able to complete the comeback. Rizzo now has five homers on the season -- four of which have come in his last six games -- and a strong 12:12 BB:K through 21 games has him on pace for a career-high .400 OBP.

Rizzo went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati. It was his third consecutive game with a homer.

EDGE Analysis

Up to 10 runs, five doubles, four home runs, 11 RBI and three stolen bases with a .296/.412/.535 slash line, Rizzo has kick-started 2017 as expected. He's a set-and-forget option at first base and offers a high fantasy floor because of the strong supporting cast surrounding him in the Chicago lineup.

Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a double, a three-run homer, a walk and three runs in Saturday's victory over the Reds.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo's third homer of the season was a three-run shot to give the Cubs a first-inning lead of a game they'd win easily. He's now homered and back-to-back contests, and it's very possible that he might be ready to go on an extended power surge, which is exactly what fantasy owners were looking for when spending a high draft pick on him.
