Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a leadoff home run and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Padres.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo set the tone for the game with a first inning blast off of San Diego starter Jhoulys Chacin. In seven games out of the leadoff spot, Rizzo is 12-for-28 with four home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored. The first baseman isn't a conventional No. 1 hitter, but as long as he and the team are having success, don't expect manager Joe Maddon to tinker with the order.

Rizzo went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and three runs scored during Sunday's win over Pittsburgh.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo is now 9-for-22 with three homers, two doubles, eight RBI and six runs through five games as Chicago's leadoff hitter. The move to the top of the lineup clearly hasn't hindered his long-standing tear, as Rizzo sports a 1.125 OPS with 10 homers, eight doubles, 26 RBI and 26 runs through his past 110 at-bats.

Rizzo went 1-for-5 with a leadoff home run in Wednesday's loss to the Mets.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo took Matt Harvey deep to begin the game. Cubs manager Joe Maddon moved Rizzo up to No. 1 in the order on Tuesday to spark the offense, and the team responded with 14 runs. It's unclear how long this experiment might last, but for now, expect an uptick in runs but possibly a decrease in RBI opportunities for Rizzo.

Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer, a walk, three RBI and two runs against the Mets on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

His move to the leadoff spot was a smashing success, as the Cubs broke out for 14 runs. Rizzo's now hit safely in eight straight games, and he has a ridiculous 10:3 BB:K in that span. His greatest worth has come in formats that count OBP and/or OPS, but Rizzo's 14 homers, 40 RBI and five steals are valuable stats in any fantasy setting.

Rizzo is playing first base and batting leadoff Tuesday against the Mets.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo is in the midst of a seven game hitting streak and is batting .371 (13-for-35) with a 4:12 K:BB since the beginning of June, so manager Joe Maddon will push him up to the top of the order in an attempt to kickstart the Cubs' struggling offense. While he's batting just .249 on the season, his 14 percent walk rate has his OBP at an impressive .390. This will mark Rizzo's first big league start in the leadoff spot.

Rizzo went 1-for-2 with three walks and two runs scored in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Rockies.

EDGE Analysis

He and Kris Bryant drew six walks between them as Colorado pitchers (intentionally or otherwise) didn't give Chicago's two big sluggers a chance to beat them. Rizzo's .247 batting average on the season remains far below expectations, but he's now 9-for-20 (.450) over his last six games with seven walks.

Rizzo went 2-for-5 with a homer, four RBI and two runs in a winning effort against the Marlins on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

His three-run shot in the fifth inning ended up providing all the margin the Cubs would need. Rizzo had been slumping recently, going just 4-for-23 (.174) without a homer over the past seven games -- part of a season-long struggle to hit for average, as he's lingering at .236. However, he's also walked more than he's struck out, and there's no way he won't bring that .216 BABIP up as the season wears on.

Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis

With Kris Bryant going 0-for-4 in front of him, Rizzo didn't get as many RBI opportunities as fantasy owners may have liked. But a three-hit performance is still nice, especially considering Rizzo entered the contest mired in a 1-for-15 slump the last five games. Rizzo is still hitting just .236, but after hitting .292 a season ago, there's reason to believe that number will rise.

Rizzo went 3-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs in Wednesday's win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo took San Francisco starter Matt Moore deep in the second and fourth innings. The slugging first baseman now has home runs in two straight games and three of his last four. Rizzo is still hitting just .238, but it appears that he's heating up as we head into June.

Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Rizzo's two-run homer in the fourth inning came on Johnny Cueto's first offering of the at-bat. Rizzo's team-leading 25th and 26th RBI doubled the Cubs' advantage, providing more than enough insurance for starter Jon Lester. Rizzo's production has been down in May, but he is now seven for his last 24 (.292) with three home runs over his last seven games. Look for his bat to continue to heat up as the temperature does.
