Allen Craig went 3-for-3 with three RBI in the Cardinals' 11-6 defeat of the Rockies on Saturday.
Craig hit an RBI single in the second inning and a two-run single in the eighth. He's now batting .298/.366/.566 with 15 home runs and 54 RBI in 62 games this year and should remain hugely productive down the stretch.

Allen Craig stayed hot Monday, bombing a two-run homer and a solo shot in a win over the Rockies.
He's now gone deep four times while driving in seven runs over the last four contests. Craig has missed six weeks this season due to injury, but, incredibly, he's still on pace for 26 home runs and 85 RBI. He's sporting a sick .322/.394/.651 batting line for the season.

Allen Craig had a nice night at the plate in a loss to the Pirates on Friday, going 2-for-4 with a homer, double, two runs scored and three RBI.
Craig's three-run bomb off Kevin Correia in the third inning put the Cardinals on top 5-2. Sadly, that was the last time they would score in the game, while the Pirates would tack on 12 more runs. Craig is enjoying a terrific season in the middle of the Cardinals lineup, hitting .314 with 10 homers and 37 RBI in just 140 at-bats.

Allen Craig (wrist) is serving as the Cardinals' DH on Thursday afternoon against the Tigers.
Craig made an early exit from Wednesday night's game after tweaking his left wrist on a diving attempt in right field. He told reporters about an hour before first pitch Thursday that he's feeling "alright."

Allen Craig had an RBI single and a two-run homer to lead the Cardinals to a 5-4 win over the Mets on Monday.
A four-game sweep wasn't meant to be for the Mets. Craig saw to that, taking Jon Rauch deep to give the Cardinals a lead in the eighth. It was his sixth homer in just 62 at-bats on the season. If only he could have stayed healthy during the first two months, he'd probably be in the running for an All-Star bid.

Cardinals activated OF-1B Allen Craig from the 15-day disabled list.
He spent the minimum amount of time on the DL with a pulled hamstring. It will be interesting to see where the Cardinals ultimately fit Craig into the lineup, as Matt Adams has played well at first base since Lance Berkman (knee) went down. Given the .373/.424/.765 batting line he put up before the injury, you can bet that he'll be playing most days.

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said he won't hesitate using Allen Craig (hamstring) in the outfield when he's activated from the disabled list Friday.
Craig began the year on the DL while recovering from knee surgery and went back on it earlier this month when he tweaked his hammy while trying to chase down a flyball in the outfield. But, Matheny won't be gunshy about using the 27-year-old in the outfield even though he's more likely to be injured there. He'll also see plenty of time at first base but will not play any second base as previously speculated.

Allen Craig (hamstring) took batting practice and fielded grounders at second base before Thursday's game.
Interesting. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny has expressed a hesitancy to stick Craig at second base as former manager Tony La Russa did for a handful of games last season, but perhaps he's warmed to the idea. We can't imagine he'd spend a ton of time there, though, as he's a well below average defender there and would be more susceptible to injury. Plus, with Lance Berkman's (knee) season possibly over, Craig is needed at first base. The 27-year-old is slated to return when first eligible on June 1.

Allen Craig (hamstring) is expected to be placed on the 15-day disabled list before Friday's game against the Dodgers.
Craig had believed only yesterday that his hamstring injury would sideline him merely on a day-to-day basis. But after being examined by team orthopedic Dr. Lyndon Gross, the hot-hitting outfielder-first baseman was sent back to St. Louis, as the Cardinals appear ready to give Craig's hamstring a couple more weeks to heal.
