Loup (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Loup has been on the 10-day IL with a left elbow strain since April 8, and it remains unclear where he is currently at in his recovery. The 31-year-old will be eligible to return from the 60-day IL in early June, though that shouldn't be expected given the lack of information on his progress.

Loup was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left elbow strain.
EDGE Analysis
Loup fired a scoreless inning of relief Sunday against the Cardinals and apparently picked up an injury in the process. It's unclear how long the issue will keep the southpaw sidelined at this point. Brad Wieck will take Loup's place on the active roster and in the bullpen.

Loup agreed to a one-year contract with the Padres on Sunday that includes an option, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Loup is a decent southpaw reliever, compiling a 4.54 ERA (with a 3.39 FIP) and a 10.0 K/9 in 39.2 innings split between the Blue Jays and Phillies last season. He'll provide a veteran presence and a much-needed left-handed arm for the San Diego bullpen this season.

Loup (forearm) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Loup wound up spending a little more than a month on the shelf with a forearm strain. The 30-year-old owns a 4.78 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB across 37.2 innings with the Blue Jays and Phillies this season. He figures to serve as one of the team's top left-handed options out of the bullpen down the stretch.

Loup (forearm) will be shut down from throwing for two more weeks, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
The timeline could be adjusted depending on how his arm is doing, but the expectation is that Loup will avoid throwing for three weeks from the date on which he initially suffered his flexor strain. That would leave Loup in line to return sometime in mid-September, as he'll still have to build his arm strength back up and likely make a few rehab appearances before rejoining the Phillies.

Loup was placed on the 10-day disabled list due to a left forearm strain Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear as to when Loup suffered this injury, as he was able to finish off a scoreless inning of relief during Wednesday's win against the Red Sox. That marked his fourth appearance with Philadelphia after being traded from the Blue Jays prior to the non-waiver trade deadline last month. The club has yet to comment on a timetable for his recovery, though he will be eligible to come off the DL on Aug. 26. Ranger Suarez was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.

Loup was traded to the Phillies for Jacob Waguespack on Tuesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Loup has logged a 4.54 ERA and 1.60 WHIP with a career-high 10.6 K/9 across 35.2 innings of relief with the Blue Jays this year. In addition, Loup has cut down on his walk rate this year, and a 3.65 FIP with a .406 BABIP suggests that he's due for some better results over the next couple months.

Loup signed a one-year, $1.8 million deal with the Blue Jays on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Loup appeared in 70 games out of the Blue Jays' bullpen in 2017, posting a solid 3.75 ERA over 57.2 innings. He fanned roughly a quarter of the batters he faced but also issued free passes at a career-worst 10.9 percent clip. He'll see plenty of action out of the Toronto bullpen again in 2018.

Loup pitched 1.2 hitless innings Monday, allowing just one walk while striking out three Rays en route to his fourth hold of the year.
EDGE Analysis
Monday's performance was undoubtedly Loup's best in quite a while. Manager John Gibbons is has shown the willingness to extend Loup when the southpaw is on, but unfortunately the reliever's usage is too fickle to make the reliever worth much in fantasy league.

Loup walked the only batter he faced in Wednesday's game against the White Sox, failing to capitalize on the chance to notch his fourth hold of the year.
EDGE Analysis
The left-handed specialist maintained a 2.70 ERA and 1.39 WHIP through his first 33 appearances this season. Loup has since posted an 8.76 ERA with a 1.78 WHIP in 14 games. He looked like a contender to rack up holds early in the campaign, but that's since faded, making him unserviceable in all formats.
