Under scenarios for some teams in our league, it lists the outcome of a game between two eliminated teams as having an outcome on the playoff scenarios.

How could this be?

Please let us know the team you are looking at and the matchup you're referring to.

4th and Engaged - Look at their fifth scenario . Includes Manningham and Cheese loss, but that team and the team they are playing is eliminated.

Also shoudn't 4th and Engaged make it if they win, Beats by Ray wins and Smoke a Bowe, Drink a Forte wins on average points per game? Seems like the scenarios are not calculated correctly. This is just one example. Happens for most teams.

Those games still matter in your league from what I see as it would affect hardest schedule for other teams, which is your third tiebreaker there and there are a lot of teams vying for that playoff spot.

Wouldn't Average Points per game be ahead of hardest schedule? 4th and Engaged should easily win the points per game tiebreaker on most of the league. Is that not accounted for in the scenarios?

FleaMod Admin Sun 11/30/14 5:30 PM

It is ahead.

But not accounted for in the scenarios -- that's why it shows Most Average Points/Game at the end in brown.

So based on points is it fair to say the playoff percentages are not entirely accurate?

FleaMod Admin Sun 11/30/14 5:32 PM

Correct, there's no way to predict how many points each team will score every week.

L33t League

Assuming Rays Boom Boom Room, Big A$$ TDs, and TheAsianGuy are all tied at 6-7, who is in and who is out? The other 4 spots are basically locked in. Tie breaker is h2h then PF, but we dont know how to figure out the 3 way tie.

It depends who wins this week's matchups. The playoffs page has a column on the far right with all the scenarios when you hover over the "playoff" and "bye" percentage that calculates this for you. Head to head is always skipped unless there is a full sweep by one team over the others or unless one team lost all games to the rest of the tied teams. After your points breaks the tie if H2H can't be used, it resets to try and use H2H again.

It appears likely that we will have a scenario where there are 3 teams with 7 wins vying for the final playoff spot. Our first tie-breaker is head-to-head, followed by points. Buffalo johnsons has the least points of the 7 win teams, but has beaten the other 2 seven win teams. In the best nature of the rule "head-to-head" tie breaker, we believe Buffalo Johnsons should be in in the case if a three-way tie. Will this happen?

FleaMod Admin Mon 12/1/14 11:29 AM

If that team has not lost any game to all the other tied teams yes. If they lost a game, head-to-head can't be used.
