Two questions, should Eagles receive points for the recovered block punt near the end of the 4th quarter. Also should Eagles receive credit for a sack when Rodgers was tackled behind the line of scrimmage after a fumbled snap .
1) It depends on your league's scoring rules. Your league doesn't reward points for blocked kicks or punts: fleaflicker.com
2) It depends how the NFL scores these plays. Each one is unique. I believe the play you're referring to happened in the second quarter. The NFL and our stats provider is scoring that play as a sack.:
(7:08) (No Huddle) A.Rodgers sacked at GB 19 for -6 yards (V.Curry). FUMBLES (V.Curry), recovered by GB-R.Rodgers at GB 17. R.Rodgers to GB 23 for 6 yards (M.Kendricks).
No the play I am referring to happened in the 1st quarter, C. Barwin was credited with the tackle. It was behind the line of scrimmage against A. Rodgers.
There was "no gain" on the play even though there was a loss, the NFL ruled it as an aborted Rodgers snap -- so there is no sack awarded there per NFL rules. The NFL did not award that as a sack:
1-10-GB 49 (6:59) (No Huddle, Shotgun) A.Rodgers FUMBLES (Aborted) at GB 44, and recovers at GB 35. A.Rodgers to GB 35 for no gain (C.Barwin).
