How do I properly phrase a custom rule in baseball, especially if I want to use some of the ratios like batting average, ERA, WHIP, OBP. For example with ERA, does it make sense to say award 1 point for every 1 point of batting average over 250? What about for ERA? Award 1 point for every 1 point ERA less than say, 2? Do I use whole numbers for batting average or use a decimal value (like .250). Your documentation refers to football examples.

I would use our default scoring. If you want to create your own, you can enter whatever whole numbers you'd like (so long as they're not through the roof) and it will proportionally break it down for you if you have decimal scoring enabled. Best advice is to play around with it and click the Players tab and you can see what the MLB'er would have scored in previous years per your custom scoring rules.
