Pietrangelo extended his point streak to three games and four assists with two helpers in Saturday's shootout win over the Hurricanes.

He now has 25 points in 42 games, a pace that will come close to matching his career best in points (51). But he's strangely minus-5 on the season and that's the first time since he played just nine games in 2009-10 that he's been on the wrong side of that category. He seems to be starting to change things there, though -- he's plus-6 in his last five games.

Pietrbngelo picked up an assist Thursday in the Blues' 7-2 demolition of San Jose. He was plus-2, took one shot, and added one hit in the victory.

Pietrangelo has been overshadowed by teammate Kevin Shattenkirk's phenomenal first half, but he has quietly snuck into the top 25 scorers among defensemen with 23 points - a pace which would leave him just five points shy of his career-high 51 from last year. He has also improved his shot rate by almost a full shot per game. An uncharacteristic minus-7 rating may mask how good he has been in fantasy this year and, if the Pietrbngelo owner in your league is doubting him, now is the time to pounce.

Pietrangelo picked up an assist in Tuesday's win over the Coyotes.

After putting together a seven-game point streak from Dec. 6 through Dec. 20, Pietrangelo has since underwent a bit of a scoring drought, producing just two points over his past seven games. The 24-year-old has been the victim of some bad luck this season with a career-worst 3.5 shooting rate and an ugly minus-9 rating, despite playing for a team that's 11 games over .500. Pietrangelo figures to notice some improvement in both areas, and even if he doesn't, he's still been plenty useful for fantasy owners this season. He's tied for 21st place league-wide in defenseman scoring with 22 points in 40 games.

Pietrangelo picked up an assist on the power play Tuesday in a win over Los Angeles to run his point streak to five games. He was plus-1, had 2 PIM, and took one shot while dishing out two hits in the contest.

Pietrangelo has five points in his current streak, which accounts for almost one third of his season total. He is an elite fantasy defenseman who fills the scoresheet across the board and should be in your lineup every night.

Pietrangelo scored his third goal of the season Saturday in a win over Colorado. He took two shots and added two hits on the night.

Pietrangelo's offensive output is off his pace from last year when he had 51 points. Perhaps more surprisingly he is minus-9 after plus-20 a year ago, which tells you almost all you need to know about the variability of plus/minus. Pietrangelo has a four-game point streak and he should finish the season with totals close to his pre-season projections.

Pietrangelo recorded an assist and finished with a minus-2 rating over his 22:15 of ice time in Thursday's win over the Islanders.

With an assist in each of his last three games and a total of 14 shot attempts during that span, Pietrangelo's offense has begun to take off of late, but he still hasn't been able to shake his wretched plus/minus. After going plus-20 last season for the Blues, Pietrangelo puzzling sits at minus-9 on the season, despite the team's impressive 19-8-2 record.

Pietrangelo recorded his third multi-point night in his last four games, recording a goal and an assist during Friday's 4-3 OT win over Edmonton.

After posting just seven games in his first 19 games, Pietrangelo is finally starting to heat up, with six points in his last four contests. As we've seen lately, Pietrangelo can rack up a ton of points over very short stretches, which means he needs to be in your fantasy lineup each and every night.

Pietrangelo added a pair of assists in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Jets.

After six consecutive games without a point, Pietrangelo has recorded four in the past days as he also had two helpers in Saturday's win. He now sits at 10 assists and should come close to last season's totals of 43 assists and 51 points.

Pietrangelo dished out a pair of helpers in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Senators. He also skated to a plus-2 and fired four shots on goal.

The points snapped a six-game pointless streak for Pietrangelo, who is the classic example of a player being significantly more valuable on the ice than in fantasy. There's no doubt that the Olympic gold medalist is one of the best defensemen in hockey, but he's clearly been surpassed in fantasy value by fellow Blues rearguard Kevin Shattenkirk, who has seven more points, and is 11 ticks higher in the plus/minus department while spending nearly three minutes less per game on the ice. All that being said, Pietrangelo is still a productive fantasy blueliner who deserves to be owned in all leagues.

Pietrangelo racked up a pair of assists and was a plus-2 in Saturday's win over Chicago.

A much need offensive outburst from Pietrangelo, who had gone four straight games without recording a point. The 24-year-old, who netted 51 points last season, was too good to stay quiet for long. Once the Blues begin to score more goals, expect Pietrangelo to rack up more points. He is a complete workhorse on the blueline, logging 25:52 of ice time in Saturday's win.
