Coach Paul Maurice confirmed that Pavelec would start Tuesday's game against the Canucks, Brian Munz of TSN Radio 1290 Winnipeg reports.

With Michael Hutchinson surrendering a total of 13 goals while taking the loss in each of the team's last three starts, Pavelec will be called upon as the Jets look to get back in the win column. Backup Eddie Lack is set to man the net for the Canucks.

Jets coach Paul Maurice hinted that Pavelec will start Tuesday's game in Vancouver, the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Michael Hutchinson has been getting most of the starts lately, but Pavelec will likely be in net for the second game of a back-to-back. Hutchinson struggled in Monday's loss to the Flames, and he was pulled in favor of Pavelec for the final 15 minutes. Of course, the season-long statistics still point strongly in Hutchinson's favor, so the one poor outing may not have any impact on the larger picture.

Pavelec surrendered four goals on 29 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins.

It remains a mystery why coach Paul Maurice still continues to use Pavelec when he's got another goalie in the fold -- Michael Hutchinson -- that's played about as well as any this season. Pavelec has now surrendered exactly four goals in five of his last seven outings, picking up only two wins. He should probably only be counted on when the Jets play inferior opponents.

Pavelec is in line to start Tuesday's game against the Penguins, TSN 1290's Brian Munz reports.

Pavelec is on track to square off against Thomas Greiss on Tuesday, with Michael Hutchinson the likely starter Thursday against the Flyers, per Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun.

Pavelec saved 28 of 31 shots and turned away all three shootout shots in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Coyotes.

Pavelec has now won two in a row, and has just two regulation losses in his last 11 starts. On the year Michael Hutchinson has outperformed the 27-year-old, but the two have rotated starts over the past eight games.

Pavelec is slated to start Sunday's game against the Coyotes, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Pavelec -- who stopped 46 shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Stars -- returns to the Jets' net Sunday to make his 29th start of the season after giving way to Michael Hutchinson in Friday's 4-2 win over Chicago.

Pavelec delivered a spectacular outing Thursday in Dallas, turning away 46 shots to come away with a 2-1 victory.

Pavelec justified his place in the lineup and made his case for more starts all at once, stopping six Jamie Benn shots and another five each from Tyler Seguin and Jason Spezza. Despite having given up four goals in four consecutive games -- all losses -- Pavelec got the call for the third time in the last five games over Michael Hutchinson, who's outplayed him handily this year.

Pavelec was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and is thus on track to receive the start Thursday against the Stars, Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

With Michael Hutchinson playing well, it's quite surprising that coach Paul Maurice continues to give Pavelec semi-regular starts. Pavelec has surrendered exactly four goals in each of his last four outings, losing all of those games. If that trend continues Thursday, the goalie job could finally be Hutchinson's for good.

Pavelec stopped 39 of 43 shots in Sunday's shootout loss to the Ducks.

A good outing from Pavelec, who helped the Jets earn a point against one of the best teams in the Western Conference. The 27-year-old has now lost four straight games, giving up four goals in each of those outings. With Michael Hutchinson emerging as the starter, Pavelec has taken a backseat, as his two wins in his past eight appearances just aren't good enough. With a respectable 10-10-6 record on the season, to go with a .909 save percentage and 2.52 GAA, Pavelec still remains a decent fantasy option, but it's Hutchinson's team now.

Pavelec will start Sunday's game against the Ducks, TSN 1290's Rick Ralph reports.

A ceremony for Teemu Selanne delayed the goalie announcements and start of the game, but Pavelec will indeed make his 27th start of the season. Michael Hutchinson has been getting most of the playing time recently, but the Jets are playing the second game of a back-to-back. Hutchinson will likely return to the net for Tuesday's game against the Panthers.
