Pavelec will start Sunday's game against the Ducks, TSN 1290's Rick Ralph reports.

A ceremony for Teemu Selanne delayed the goalie announcements and start of the game, but Pavelec will indeed make his 27th start of the season. Michael Hutchinson has been getting most of the playing time recently, but the Jets are playing the second game of a back-to-back. Hutchinson will likely return to the net for Tuesday's game against the Panthers.

Pavelec allowed four goals for the third consecutive game -- all losses -- Thursday against the Coyotes.

This was Pavelec's first start since the new year, as Michael Hutchinson's taken over No. 1 duties for Winnipeg, and this outing doesn't make any kind of case for the Czech netminder to win his old job back.

Pavelec will start between the pipes against the Coyotes on Thursday, Sara Orlesky of TSN reports.

Pavelec surrendered four goals on 32 shots in his outing last Wednesday against the Islanders, and his next start won't come until over a week later. He appears to be falling behind Michael Hutchinson for the top goalie spot with the club, but will look to make the decision tougher with a strong outing against the Coyotes on Thursday.

Pavelec allowed four goals on 32 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders.

It was Pavelec's second straight game in which he allowed four goals, and if his play doesn't improve in a hurry, he likely won't be splitting starts with Michael Hutchinson much longer. Hutchinson has been excellent this year, and could be the team's clear starter soon.

Pavelec will be in the crease Wednesday against the Islanders, Jeff Hamilton of CBC.ca reports.

After coach Paul Maurice broke his goalie rotation out of the Christmas break by giving Michael Hutchinson three starts in a row, it looks like he's now leaning toward returning to the alternate-start pattern with his two netminders. As a result, Pavelec will man the net Wednesday, with a big opportunity ahead of him to reclaim control of the No. 1 spot on the depth chart. Hutchinson has looked more human with in allowing three goals in each of his last two performances, creating an opening for Pavelec to earn more looks if he can keep a respectable Isles attack at bay.

Head coach Paul Maurice has stressed that the Winnipeg Jets' goalie rotation will continue after the NHL's three day holiday break, Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Pavelec will continue to split starts with Michael Hutchinson for the time being. However, Pavelec has struggled as of late, losing three of his last four games while giving up at least three goals in each of those losses. Meanwhile, Hutchinson has gone 8-2-2 this season while posting a league-leading 1.67 GAA as well as a league-leading .944 save percentage. If Pavelec continues to struggle, and Hutchinson continues to dominate, Pavelec may find himself on Winnipeg's bench more often than he finds himself starting in net moving forward.

Pavelec surrendered four goals on 23 shots in Sunday's overtime loss to the Flyers.

After a solid outing Tuesday vs. Buffalo, Pavelec returned to his losing ways Sunday. The 27-year-old has now lost three of his past four games, giving up at least three goals in each of those losses. Considering Pavelec's recent struggles, expect Michael Hutchinson and his league-leading .940 save percentage to continue to see the majority of starts going forward.

Pavelec will start in net against the Flyers on Sunday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Pavelec is in a rotation with Michael Hutchison in net, and Sunday is his turn to start in net. He is coming off a good performance against the Sabres in which he stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced, and carries a 2.27 GAA and .916 save percentage into the matchup.

Pavelec denied 27 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 rout of the Sabres.

Pavelec had been rough over the last two games, giving up seven goals, and has struggled to establish much consistency at any point this year. But this is a positive outing that could lead to Pavelec drawing another start when the Bruins come visiting Friday.

Pavelec will be in the crease Tuesday against the Sabres, 680 CJOB Sports reports.

Coach Paul Maurice has stuck firmly to his pattern of alternating starts between Pavelec and Michael Hutchinson, though he may be leaning toward reconsidering that plan given how Pavelec's last two turns have went. The netminder has yielded seven goals on 51 shots (.862 save %), taking losses to the Ducks and Avalanche in the process. It's no safe bet that he'll get things back on track against the Sabres, who look significantly more imposing than they did just two months earlier.
